When you use our website, you leave certain data with us, such as personal data. We do not always process all of the data listed below. It depends on which services and features you choose on our website. For example, we only process your CV, cover letter and education level when you apply for a job with us online, and data about your use of services only becomes relevant when you sign up for a newsletter.

Depending on the services and features you use on our websites, we may process the following personal data about you:

• information you enter yourself in an open field, such as a message in our contact form
• data about your collaboration with us
• technical measurement data from your equipment, such as IP address, MAC address, identifiers in cookies and your browsing behaviour on our websites

Purposes

We process the above data for one or more of the following purposes (depending in part on which services or features you use):

• to process your request and keep you informed of its progress;
• to process your job application;
• to find out which topics matter to you, so we can determine which products or services to improve or review;
• to communicate with you by sending electronic newsletters and/or mail;
• to send you personalised newsletters based on your interests (see also the section on profiling);
• to answer your questions or handle your complaints via social media, email, post or phone;
• to improve our websites.

We pass on the data you provide to third parties if this is necessary to deliver the products you have ordered or the services you have requested. Beyond that, we will not provide the data you supply to other parties unless this is legally required or permitted. For example, the police may request data from us as part of a fraud investigation. In that case, we are legally obliged to hand over this data.

We combine your personal data from different sources (such as the data from your account and your purchases in our webshop) in order to offer you the best online experience. In doing so, we also combine this data with the data you have left on, or via, one of our websites.

By combining your data, we can show you personalised offers and personalised content that match your interests and purchase history. We can also personalise our newsletter for you in this way. This allows us to provide better and more targeted information, and prevents you from seeing content or offers that are less relevant to you.

We take appropriate security measures to limit misuse of and unauthorised access to your personal data. For example, we ensure that only the necessary people have access to the data, that access to the data is protected, and that our security measures are checked regularly.

We do not keep the data longer than necessary. That means we retain the data for as long as needed to deliver the service you have requested. The exception is data we are required to keep for longer because the law obliges us to do so.

This statement does not apply to third-party websites that are linked to our website. We cannot guarantee that these websites handle your personal data in a reliable or secure manner. Always read the privacy statement of the website in question before using it, for more information on how they handle your data.

If you are 16 years old or younger, you may only use our website under the supervision of your parents or legal representatives.

We may change this privacy statement from time to time. Changes will be published on our website. We therefore recommend consulting this privacy statement regularly, so that you are aware of these changes.

To prevent misuse, when you submit a written access request we ask you to identify yourself adequately by enclosing a copy of a valid identity document. Remember to black out your BSN (Dutch citizen service number) and photo on the copy. You can use the ‘KopieID’ app for this, for example.

Of course, we are happy to help if you have complaints about the processing of your personal data. If you are nevertheless unable to resolve the matter with us, under privacy legislation you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the privacy regulator, the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). You can contact the Dutch Data Protection Authority for this purpose.
